Welcome to South Africa Topshop and Topman!

Finally Topshop and Topman has reached our shores in South Africa! We South Africans no longer have to shop online or travel overseas for the latest fashion which the store sells. South Africa is the 37th market of the British fashion brand, and the store is located in Sandton City's Protea Court.

Yesterday I went to shop in the store, and if I had my way, I would have bought every single item which they had available.

Delivery for my friend from ZARA US

Globalisation – a fashion reality!

We truly live in a globalised world! My friend recently bought a shoe from ZARA US’s on line store, after searching for it unsuccessfully in Sandton and Manhattan (NY). The staff at their fifth avenue store said that the shoe is apparently only available on line. The shoes were delivered to her in less than two weeks, and it arrived in perfect condition. Enjoy the pictures – it is a beautiful black lace shoe.
ZARA opened their doors in South Africa sometime last year and is a firm favourite for South Africa’s fashionable people.

My Selfridges Moment

September this year I made my first trip to London. One thing I have to say is that London is a 'fashionable' city. I was amazed by the style of the people especially in Oxford street. Doing shopping in London is definitely a fantastic experience after New York... Hopefully someday I would get the same feeling in Johannesburg (when shopping).

The shop that got my attention the most in Oxford street was Selfridge & Co Ltd. The Louis Vuitton designs by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama caught my eye and tons of people as well. All of us admired the beauty within the window displays. A lot of students also got inspiration from the designs and started sketching from what they saw in the Selfridge window display.

I then decided to go in! Heaven on earth! Luxury brands, left right and centre! Why can't we have a Selfridge in South Africa?

I made sure I bought at least one item from the store! Hopefully when I get to go again and have more Selfridge moments :)

Chris Brown in South Africa

Great news to South Africans is that Chris Brown will be in the country in December 2012. His concert is definitely a not to be missed event for all South Africans. It will definitely be a great way to end 2012 on a high note!

There are still tickets available, but I'm sure it is selling fast so my fellow South Africans, I think you should definitely get your ticket as soon as possible.

Judging from his (Chris Brown's past concerts) I am sure that this one will definitely be in the same league and that South Africans wont be disappointed.

Concert dates are as follows:
15 Dec - Coca Cola Dome; Jhb
17 Dec - Peoples Park, Moses Mabhida; Dbn
19 Dec & 20 Dec - Grandwest Arena, Cpt
