Galxboy: A Dope clothing brand!

Galxboy is pushing hip hop fashion in South Africa unto new heights! Thanks to Galxboy, South Africans can look Dope Swag!
The clothing brand started in 2008 and was called “Cheese Boy”. The founder of the clothing brand Thatiso ‘Vuittots’ Dube then changed the name to Galxyboy in 2010/2011 as  the name appealed to a broader market locally & internationally. The brand was revived and revamped in 2012. The brand is seen as being the future of hip hop fashion in South Africa.
At the moment the galxboy range consist of t-shirts, tank tops, leggings and snap backs to name a few. I am personally amazed by the designs and the variety of clothing they provide.
Galxboy is tapping into the needs of the ‘new young urban consumer’.

Life by Andre: Mercedes-Benz Jhb Fashion Week 2013

Life by Andre showed an urban collection consisting of jeans, shorts, sweaters, jackets, dungarees, shirts and suits. His collection was the most ready to wear and was plastered with prints. The pallet included red, black, yellow and blue. I liked the bow ties on some of the pieces. Life by Andre brought the ‘swag’ element to Jhb fashion week.

Fabiani’s MBFW 2013 collection: Perfection!

There's always so much to get excited about with any Fabiani collection. The old saying ‘save the best for last’ is true with Fabiani closing MBJFW 2013 with his autumn/winter collection.
I had a front row seat and was incredibly happy and honoured to have attended the Fabiani show. Fabiani has perfected the art of creating a safe, stylish and clean menswear collection. The collection included both casual and formal looks.
The collection encapsulated what the brand stands for which are exceptional quality, unique Italian style, distinctive detailing and bold colours. The collection was loaded with attitude and full of tailored clothing which included suits, chinos, jeans, t-shirts, jerseys, jackets and blazers. The palette pops in blue, green, maroon, brown and black.
The styling of the collection was impeccable. I loved the happy socks/pop socks which the models wore as well the pocket squares!
This was the best collection I have seen this entire fashion week!
Visit www.fabiani.co.za for more pictures on the autumn/winter 2013 collection.

Spotted: Swaady Martin-Leke at Fabiani MBJFW 2013 Autumn/Winter Collection

I spotted Swaady Martin-Leke the Fabiani Autumn Winter collection. Swaady is one of Tutu’s Children. Tutu’s Children is made up of a network of inspirational leaders to tackle Africa’s problems. Tutu’s Children can be seen on Al-Jazeera. Swaady is also the CEO of YSWARA, a luxury tea company
Swaady had a front row seat and looked very beautiful. After the show, I had a short chat with her; she is inspirational in person as on TV. When I asked Swaady on the Fabiani collection, she replied: “the whole Fabiani collection was beautiful”. Swaady I agree with you!
