Alexa Liss showed a beautiful autumn/winter collection on the 26^th of October 2013 at The Alexander Theatre in Braamfontein, Johannesburg. Her collection is ‘a considered blend between the natural and the futuristic with a modern minimalist aesthetic.'

 

We think out off all the AFI Fastrack Capsule Collections that was shown, Alexa’s was the most ‘wearable’ for any occasion. We loved the wooden clutch bags, dresses and jackets. We hope to see this collection in stores as we are certain it will be a hit.

Get ready for the “The Great Bugastby”!

Team Bugatti brings to you their annual Models & Bottles on the 26^th of October 2013 at The Sands in Sandton. It is a must attend event for everyone in Johannesburg. All pre-sold tickets are sold out and there will only be a limited amount on sale at the door.

Team Bugatti always live up to their reputation, and this year will be no different. There will be a fully imported open bar, catering and many more surprises for guests. The theme for this year is 'The Great Bugatsby' derived from 'The Great Gatsby' with 'The Bugatti' twist.

The Sweet Life Experience at the Rihanna Concert

  

A few weeks ago the Swag Craze team experienced The Sweet Life during the Rihanna concert at FNB stadium, thanks to 4th Street wine. They treated us as VIP’s from the moment we arrived until the concert ended. The décor, vibe and food in the suite was on another level.

We got to see Rihanna in style, which made the concert more enjoyable. The American electronic dance duo GTA – geared us up with electro music while we waited for the Rihanna to perform.

Rihanna is a real superstar! She made an unforgettable entrance and started the concert with ‘Fresh of the runway’ and ended the concert with her hit song 'Diamonds'. She also made an epic exit leaving with our South African flag.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Africa 2013: 30 designers, 15 countries and 20 runway shows

African Fashion International (AFI) will be hosting the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Africa MBFWA from 30 October to 2 November 2013. The Swag Craze team can’t wait to see the collections from Africa's finest designers at MBFWA.

The collections of more than 30 top African designers from 15 countries will be showcased in 20 runway shows in the City of Tshwane. Featured designers represent some of the best of African collections from across the continent and includes:

• Taibo Bacar from Mozambique;
• Mille Collines from Rwanda;
• Mina Evans and Duaba Serwa from Ghana;
• Sheria Ngowi and Mustafa Hassanali from Tanzania; and
• David Tlale, Marianne Fassler and Thula Sindi from South Africa.

AFI Executive Chairperson, Dr. Precious Moloi-Motsepe says, “MBFW Africa is the pinnacle of African fashion: the platform is the gateway between African designers and the global fashion community to engage and promote our local industry. African designers have shown themselves to be world-class in their creativity and aesthetic, and MBFW Africa strives to heighten accessibility to new markets through regional and international exposure, creating a global desire for African-designed fashion”.

During Fashion Week, AFI will also be presenting a retail element: the Africa Fashion Trade Expo (AFTE). The AFTE offers designers the opportunity to engage in business-to-business networking with the media and buyers as well as business-to-consumer sales directly to the public.
