Due to reasons beyond their control, the
organisers of STR.CRD 2014 have announced that the involvement of Virgil Abloh
(Off-White), Heron Preston (#BeenTrill#) and Justin R Saunders (JJJJound) in this
year’s festival is to be postponed.
The postponement affects both the Nu-Tomorrow
concert and the New Creators Lab conference.
The Nu-Tomorrow concert, scheduled for Friday evening, will no longer be
taking place however New Creators Lab will continue but with a shorter line-up.
Ticket holders to Nu-Tomorrow will be able to
get a full refund on their tickets from accreditation@strcrd.com. They need
to email their ticket confirmation and will be refunded in full. New Creators Lab ticket holders who no longer
wish to participate in the conference can do the same, although Emma Stenstrom
(Stockholm School of Economics) and Jeff Carvalho (High
Snobiety/Selectism) are still presenting along with a local line-up.
The organisers are in talks
with Abloh, Preston and Saunders about a possible collaboration in 2015.
About
The New Creators Lab:
On
7 November between 14:00 and 18:00, R200 will give you access to international
creative, branding experts Jeff Carvalho (High Snobiety/Selectism) and Emma Stenstrom (Stockholm School of
Economics) as well as a local line-up.
The structured programme discusses
multi-disciplinary creativity within the brand culture context. The aim of
creating sustainable relationships between the arts and business is shared across
the creative, brands and cultural industries and the discussions aim to provide
you with answers (with some self-exploration and expression thrown in).
