On-Point and Fashion Forward

“The ‘FRow’, as we like to call it, always shows the latest, on-point footwear as donned by the industries top fashion editors, influencers and stylists. It becomes the line-up of footwear to covet. In a true essence of celebration, Bronx Woman claims their distinct ‘FRow Ready’ status through presenting the most desirable, on-trend and lux winter range yet!”
Robynne Kahn - A Fashion Friend
The FRow campaign transports you to a world of exclusive designer previews, style trailblazers and the buzz of fashion week hype. A Fashion Friend, the creative force behind the campaign images, teamed up with celebrated photographer Jacques Weyers to create a fashion show experience featuring the collection’s hottest styles.

Inspired Experimentation

“This season international trends highlighted a play on textures. So, we decided to really play with materials and fabrics in order to showcase this fashion development in our collection. The rigorous design and selection process resulted in really hot footwear – fit for the FRow for sure!”
Wayne Roos – Bronx Woman

This season, the Bronx Woman team started out by expanded and pushing the styling of their hugely popular boot offering through the use of diverse detail and silhouettes. From the equestrian inspired riding boot to the delicate stiletto heel or grungy combat boot, the collection boasts something for every gal. Platforms, wedges, zips, quilting and buckles - this is the brand’s most exciting boot portfolio to date!

High top Madeleine sneakers with stud detailing add an edge to casual days and classic Verona flats ooze Parisian sophistication.  Wear the Fabiani to the office for a polished look or the Vixen for a night on the town. Block heels are given a double textured finish or metal detail for an extra pop.

Me and My Girlfriend

“When I joined the Bronx Woman team 3 years ago as the first brand ambassador, they were only 7 years old. I saw this as a very positive sign, as my lucky number, is 7! Over the years I have fallen more and more in love with the brand every time I put on a pair of my Bronx Woman ‘girlfriends’.  They are only 10 but it feels as if they have solidly established themselves as an iconic fashion brand, especially if you see their new collection. I just can't wait for the cold days!”
Tracey Lange – Celebrity Brand Ambassador

PUMA’s Latest Sneaker Collaboration Marks Slam Jam’s 25th Anniversary

Italian street wear revolutionaries Slam Jam are marking their 25th anniversary by collaborating with PUMA on a pair of iconic sneaker silhouettes, The States and the Trinomic XT2 Plus.

Founded by Luca Benini, Slam Jam pioneered the merging of youth subculture and fashion by venturing beyond the clothing and footwear market into arts and culture to create a unique identity.

Slam Jam was in the right place at the right time as the golden age of hip-hop and b-boy spread from New York and the East Coast to influence the rest of the world. The States was the iconic silhouette for this scene at this time, appearing in every sneaker bible and documentary. The shoe was sought after and with limited availability in Europe, Slam Jam was one of a few destinations with stock and became a destination for sneaker enthusiasts.

For 2015 The States has been re-imagined, in jet black cuts and featuring a simple embossed logo, to give the classic an avant-garde flair.

The States
Throughout the early ‘90s street fashion embraced city living sports, from skateboarding and cycling to running, and the PUMA Trinomic XT2 Plus was at the pinnacle of this movement. The innovative running shoe with cushioning technology, quickly became a hit in the fashion world. For 2015 the Slam Jam x PUMA Trinomic XT2 Plus mixes reflective material with the classic Slam Jam black and white colour scheme.

Trinomic XT2 Plus
The States retails for R1999 and the SLAM JAM x PUMA Trinomic XT2 for R2299 at PUMA SELECT stores in Bree Street, Cape Town and Braamfontein, Johannesburg, as well as Shelflife from 21 March 2015.

Nike Celebrates the Anniversary of the Nike Air Max in Braamfontein

This month marks the 28th anniversary of the Nike Air Max sneaker since it was introduced in 1987 with the Air Max 1. Debuting nearly 30 years ago, Tinker Hatfield’s pioneering design took inspiration from the inside-out Pomipidou building in Paris, baring the sneaker’s Air-cushioned sole unit for all to see. Designed for runners, the Air Max 1 was created for speed and impact with lightweight and well-cushioned construction. The Air Max 1 is considered by many to be one of the greatest sneakers in history, and continues to be a coveted item in its various special edition colorways, limited issues, and collaborations.

In the lead up to Air Max Day, which is March 26, Nike South Africa have launched 25PSI, so that you can have a closer look at the evolution of the Air Max sneaker. At the pop-up store, you can have a look at the different Air Max models, learn about the history of this iconic sneaker and purchase it ahead of Air Max Day. The pop-up store can be found at the Alexander Theatre in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

Fabiani Brings Us ‘A Return To Form’ This Season and Focuses on Classic Tailoring and Sports Luxe

For Autumn/Winter 2015, iconic menswear brand Fabiani gives classic tailoring a fashion forward pop by championing luxury-street wear (A/W2015’s hottest trend).

The effortless juxtaposition of contemporary tailored garments and sportswear apparel results in an unconventionally edgy look fit for the modern gentleman of today. Pioneered by the stylish and eccentric, the look has been reinterpreted and given a quintessentially Italian feel by drawing inspiration from 21st century vintage motorsport.

The iconic Wool Stretch Suit takes centre stage with additional collection pieces sporting an exciting burst of mixed yarn fabrics offering an array of the season’s hottest hues. A refined capsule collection of luxury sweats adds an edge with a selection of cropped trousers exposing bare ankles and luxe leather trainers.

Chunky merino wool and cotton flecked thread knitwear is contrasted with lavish high shine patent and nylon textured outerwear fit for the urban explorer. Crisp poplins and a variety of coloured gingham checks can be seen in winter shirting with tweed-inspired coats and vintage motorsport jackets befit the dapper Fabiani man.

Luxury casual wear including Italian insignia emblazoned polos, stylish slim fit chinos and sporty headwear complement printed fashion pieces in subtle patterns that boast a shadowy and sophisticated palette of royal blue, navy, granite, jet black and fresh white tones.

A RETURN TO FORM has its foundation in suiting but sees the introduction of urban street wear and represents a more thoughtful and measured way of dressing. The collection also aims to educate the Fabiani man on the intrinsic components of character pieces and how these traditional tailored garments can be given an urban spin.

The Fabiani Collection is exclusively available at Fabiani stores.
