First Look: Breaker Knit Sunfaded. Court Icon Meets Progressive Styling

PUMA further enriches its streetwear offerings with the introduction of the all-new Breaker. Breaking the mould and entering new territory, the sneaker takes design cues from the iconic court silhouette, the PUMA Suede, advancing the style with a new tooling.

PUMA escapes from the trend of keeping classic court sneaker and progressive silhouettes separate with the new Breaker. Keeping the features of the archive court style, the Breaker is refreshed with a bold new look. Its contemporary style draws inspiration from ‘80s counterculture of the New York and London punk scene. The provocative styling of the subculture has since become a huge influencer of modern fashion and streetwear, boasting aggressive dimensions, elevated platform outsoles and much more. Drawing upon punk-inspired aggressive dimensions, the Breaker takes cues from brutalist architectural elements with its stark oversized tooling.

First to drop in the range is the Breaker Knit Sunfaded. The new silhouette boasts a fully knitted sock-like upper, complimented with premium Nubuck leather side panels and a hidden lacing construction for ultimate comfort and sleek styling. We can expect to see much more from the Breaker, with the next-level Breaker Mesh joining the product offering soon.

The Breaker Knit Sunfaded drops in two colourways, Black and Pebble, on 10 November 2017 at PUMA stores (excluding Sandton) and selected retailers.
